Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is a necessary skill in the workplace: how we build relationships, relate to others, manage conflict, and foster teamwork. In this workshop, you will learn about two of the four domains of EQ: Self-Awareness and Self-Management. These reflective, individual-focused skills will increase your capability to recognize and manage your emotions in a way that positively impacts your relationships.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Define Self-Awareness and Self-Management
- Use the Wheel of Emotion to name and recognize emotions
- Recall strategies for Self-Management

Abour our speaker: Bella Peccolo
In her role as Learning & Development Manager at Merrick, Bella designs and develops training to build employee and supervisor capability across the organization. Her responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, identifying skill gaps, designing and delivering professional development training (like competency webinars and workshops), facilitating workshops, and curating content.
Bella has worked in multiple industries throughout her career so: technology, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, and now AEC. She has a master's degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor's degree in Psychology, both from the University of Denver.
Bella is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Association for Talent Development (ATD RMC) as well as Mile High Young Professionals. She is also an accredited Insights Discovery practitioner.
